Junior Achievement Raises Funds to Prepare High Schoolers for the Rest of Their Lives
The Applied Underwriters Invitational charity golf tournament returns to Cobblestone Creek to raise funds for Junior Achievement
Lawrenceville, NJ – May 27, 2024 – In New Jersey, 82,000 students from elementary to high school are learning a lot more than their core classes. Junior Achievement of New Jersey, gives these students a hands-on, immersive education in work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, giving them a leg up in their economic futures.
As Junior Achievement Development Associate Mat Wnorowski puts it, these programs are about “exposing students to a bigger world.”
Through various programs and curriculum, JANJ students learn that a business is about a lot more than they might think.
“A pharmaceutical company—they don’t just do pharmaceuticals. They have the legal department, they have accounting. So it’s about exposing these kids to hundreds of different career routes and career opportunities that exist out there and showing them the different ways they can achieve those careers,” Wnorowski said.
